Rain Makes Everything Happy and Fresh

Since last Friday we have received RAIN!!!
Not enough to get us out of the drought but for the past week it has been raining off and on. The ground is soaking it up and my gardens look so happy...albeit messy :(

My fruit trees are blooming!

Cherry Plum

Nectarine one week ago.

Nectarine this week!

Cherry Tree

Of course, the rain knocked blooms/petals off...
Confetti in the pond :)

Yes, all that contraption is to keep the Raccoon's out!
So far so good!

My Orchid is blooming too!

Still can't believe I haven't killed it yet !

Dial Deep Cleansing Hand Soap – Review & Giveaway

It's hard to believe Dial is celebrating their 65th year!
They haven't slowed their momentum and
are still on the cutting edge with new products to make our life easier and cleaner.
is one of their new products.

I was so excited to be chosen to review their new product, Dial Deep Cleansing Hand Soap . It comes in three pleasing scents Yellow Raspberry & Black Sugar, Water Blossoms, & Coconut Lime Verbena. I was sent the Yellow RaspberryCoconut Lime to review. These new deep cleaning hand soaps have little micro-scrubbers that cleans and moisturizes your hands at the same time.
I don't know about where you are, but Mother Nature forgot to send Winter this year and sent Spring instead. So I have been out in the garden getting pretty dirty. Yes, I like playing planting in the garden.  :)

I was pleasantly surprised to feel how luxuriously thick the Dial Deep Cleansing Hand Soap felt on my hands. It not only stayed on my hands without running off but the lathered profusely. The little micro-scrubbers got my hands really, really clean (sometimes it seems the dirt stains them). They felt good against my skin as I washed my hands and Dial Deep Cleansing Hand Soap rinsed off easily. The skin on my hands didn't feel tight like they usually do after washing, they felt soft!

Not only were they clean but they smelled so fresh!  I couldn't decide which fragrance I liked best so I placed both on the sink next to my dish soap! ;)
You can find Dial on Facebook so you can keep abreast on their new products, coupons and giveaways.

Now for the giveaway!
One lucky person will receive 2 coupons, each for a free bottle of Deep Cleansing Hand Soap!
"The Dial Brand provided me with a sample of Dial Deep Cleansing Hand Soap in exchange for a product review. However, all the opinions expressed here are my own"

Promotion Ends: March 15, 2014

Bed/Craft Room, part 2

I've decided to share more of my combo room.
It's been three years and will probably take another three before I have it the way I want it.  I shared a bit of it here
So this is what has been done so far.
Dresser from side of the road.
Given a paint job.

I still need to add knobs to the drawers.
The book shelf on top left was found in my parents garage during the clean out. Fruit lugs stacked on top right to make more shelves.
The drawers hold supplies; craft paint, scrapbook paper, fiberfill, and styrofoam shapes, just to name a few.

My laptop (Thank you Brandon!) sits on Mom's old laundry basket, (bottom left) that's filled with gifted novelty pillows,
at the ready for those sleepless nights.
The baskets in the cubbies hold paper punches, cello bags, and more. Love the picket fence planter turned doily catch all.
A couple of lamp shades waiting for inspiration and my fav old bear I found at the thrift in Kodiak Alaska.

The very top of the book case keeps my two vintage lamp shades safe until I find another. I need three to replace the ceiling lights in the hall. I love that they don't match. Each is an artwork in and of itself. The old painted picnic basket keeps faux flowers out of sight.

The book shelf holds more supplies,
some hidden inside containers and some displayed,
along with family photos.

Dad had a bunch of these boxes in his shop.
Each held sorted parts.
I wanted to use them and ended up just
hanging them on the wall as is.
I didn't want to paint over his handwritten "labels".
Yep, more supplies inside the containers.

Baby photos of my sister and I top the fruit lugs.
I've draped one of Mom's rosaries over each photo.
A glitter globe with an Angel inside takes center stage.

The ceramic basket holds my essential oils.
An inspirational card from my sister and her husband
stands to the left along with some dried flowers.
A vintage car vase hangs on the side.

Another one of  Dad's boxes turns into a holder for candles.
This one got a makeover.

This box was from a friend. Love the painted flowers. Makes for a great background for displaying some of my Treasures.

My second favorite birdcage.
Love the birdies on the sides.
Cages hang throughout my room.

A spice rack holds essential oil sprays, glitter, and more.
Hang tags I've received from online friends tie along the bottom.

This gorgeous willow basket was 25 cents at a garage sale!
It holds a ton of faux fruit.
My security monitor, that I can view from my bed,
 gives me peace of mind.

Whew, that's half of one of my walls.
I think I packed a lot into that space.

More to come here.....

♥♥♥ Happy Birthday Mom, I love and Miss You Terribly ♥♥

Today is my Mother's birthday.
She was born in 1919 and passed in 2001.
Wasn't she pretty?

I lve and miss you sooo much!
In younger years, what a catch!

She was Queen of the Holy Ghost Festa one year, many years ago.

I will never stop missing her.
I recently came across this photo taken in 1940.
What a Hoot!
I hope you are not disappointed in me.
I'm trying to be as strong as you were,
but I feel I'm falling short.
I really could use a warm supporting
loving hug from you right now.
I wear your sweater to help get that feeling.
I lve you more than anything
and always will.

Please guide me to make the right decisions.

Happy Birthday Mom
I love and miss you soooo much!
You're never far from my thoughts.
I lve you.
Be at peace.
