Time again to pop over to Coastal Charm for Nifty Thrifty Tuesdays
and see everyone's goodies from their
Treasure Hunts over the week.
I made it to an Estate Sale on Saturday.
There were SO MUCH crafting items.
The lady was big into a lot of different kinds of crafts and sewing.
She had a white handmade cape from the Portuguese Holy Ghost and even a Crown. It must have been a replica type souvenir or something, I'm pretty sure the Crowns stay in the Church.
She had it under a huge cloche.
Sure wish I had money to blow, I would have liked to have it. The price was $65.00, not sure if that was good or not but definitely out of my price range.
She also had their Wedding Cake topper in a cloche which kept it so pristine.
Lots of handmade quilts, crochet, embroidery, cross stitch items.
Old toys which included some Fisher Price from 30 years ago, like my nephew had. Tons of Pyrex for you Pyrex lovers.
Turquoise, pink ~ gorgeous.
One room was nothing but Christmas stuff!
It was like walking into Santa's Village, you name it she had it.
Lots and lots of goodies but the prices weren't that great....
but I did manage to leave with a box of Treasures.
A cute little quilt sampler $1,
a darling little blue girls dress $1
(not sure what I will do with it, but fell for it on the way out),
a Willow Tree Pillow $1(for my shop),
a gorgeous Album Cover with the record is still inside too $1,
but the blue gardenia graphic caught my eye!!
One of these days when I have time I need to translate the info on the back and see what it says.
It appears to be from Brazil or Rio De Janierio...those are the only two words I can make out! LOL
A couple cross stitch linens .50 ea., vintage Laundry Bag $2 (for my shop),
a wee little clock $1 (seems I'm drawn to clocks too these days),
3 kitchen towels .50 ea.
There was a whole walk in closet filled with shelves of kitchen towels,
dish towels ~ everyday and Christmas.
This cute wire tote will get a makeover .50, (for the shop),
2 cheese cloth ghosts
I have always wanted to make these but haven't gotten around to it.
For $1 each I couldn't help but get them.
2 Styrofoam cones .75,
1 jute and 1 cord ball $1 for both,
3 Department 56 trees $5, Brandon has the villages
and thought he could use these,
and a bag of light pink flat marble things $1,
not sure why I got these either.
I discovered this crocheted Angel $2,
and held my breath until I could grab her up!
She is SO pretty. She'd make a great tree topper.
In the Christmas Room there were boxes of ornaments,
some homemade, others souvenirs with the place and date written on them.
At $3 a lunch bag, I filled it to the top!
Again.... why did I buy all the white birds???
On the way back I stopped at a Yard Sale and found:
sticker sheets .75 ea, faux rose petals with organza gift bags free,
a new Wilton "Tiara" $3, don't know why I bought it either, 2 hankies .50 both,
and a few small crocheted doilies....
Now I can make those Doily Roses...
I can't remember where in blogland I saw these,
if it was you please let me know so I can give you full credit.
I almost forgot, I snagged a container of candles (mostly red)$5
I was hoping I would come across some red candles
so I could make "Bleeding Candles" like
