Homemade Lowfat Christmas Cookies for Your Dog
Now you can treat your best friend and not feel guilty!
Our fur babies deserve Christmas Treats too!
Think of all they do for us -
keep us safe from strangers,
give the best kisses
and snuggles,
keep our feet warm,
and all those oh so adorable expressions
that make us laugh or smile!

Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups hot water
1 1/2 teaspoon chicken or beef bouillon powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
3 tablespoons olive oil
3 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
1/2 cup cornmeal
1/2 cup celery, finely chopped
1/2 cup shredded carrots
1/4 cup green pepper, finely chopped
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Mix hot water, oil, bouillon, and garlic powder.
Add flour, cornmeal and vegetables and mix well.
Add flour, cornmeal and vegetables and mix well.
Sometimes it's just easier to use your hands to mix thoroughly :)
Knead dough on a floured surface for a minute or two.
Roll out to 1/4 inch thick, then cut into desired shape
Place on lightly greased cookie sheet in 350 degree oven for 30 minutes.
Let cool. Makes 3-4 dozen cookies, depending on the size you make.
Store in the refrigerator or in an airtight container.
Your best friends will love you even more!!
