I'm joining:
Cottage Flora Thursdays over at Fishtail Cottage
Fertilizer Friday over at Tootsie Time
Cottage Garden Party over at Etsy Cottage Style
We have had such a heatwave lately.
I spend most of my time watering while trying not to use much water...
yeh, if you figure that one out let me know!
The fruits and veggies have, of course, loved the heat.
I picked some grapes and white nectarines yesterday.
They both are so yummy!
A few Hollyhocks are still trying to put out a few blooms
The strawberry pot I planted with succulent cuttings
last month looks like it took off.
The wild Roses are still blooming
as are the Carpet Roses
You can tell how hot it's been....
I have tons of weeds to pull,
tons of trimming to do...
you can't even see the gate for the Trumpet Vine and Clematis
Rose of Sharon has a bloom or two left
my Impatiens seem stunted...
Luckily most are well established and really don't require alot of water.
I only use soaker hoses and dripper irrigation to water minimizing evaporation.
ie. all the hoses you see ;)
This year I set up a multiple manifold at the faucet
that way I never have to move the hoses,
I can control which ones I want on at the faucet
by either opening or closing the valves.
Remember that lovely carpet of Baby Tears I showed you about a month ago?
Burnt to a crisp.
It will be back in the winter tho.
My little Pomegranate tree is growing steadily.
Only a wisp of a cold memory...
one Snowflake was forgotten and still hangs under the arbor...
in the center of the photo.
Most all in the front garden has crispy blooms.
This get the hottest Sun of the day
and is the newest garden.
The front of the hidden gate LOL
Be sure to pop over and see all the
wonderful gardens at the parties above!
