Super Bowl Party - Tasty and Easy Stuffed Rolls

It's HERE!

Let's start out with a little trivia.

The First Super Bowl was played in which year?

A. 1957
B. 1967
C. 1977

If you said B you are CORRECT!  It was on Jan. 15, 1967,
and played in Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum in Los Angeles, CA.
The two teams vying for the win were the Green Bay Packers (NFL) and the (AFL's) Kansas City Chiefs. The Packers smashed the Chiefs, 35-10.
Back then is was called AFL-NFL World Championship Game the name evolved to the Super Bowl in 1970.

Here's a few tips I've used in the past to make our get
together's a memorable championship fun time
whichever team you're rooting for.

Set the mood.
Create a great game day atmosphere with football themed party supplies such as football field table covers, banners, streamers, paper plates and cups. If you’ve got the opposing team’s jerseys, t-shirts or hats, hang them on the walls. Keep a soft football or two around the house to toss around between plays. If you really want to go over the top, you can offer to paint your guests’ faces in their team’s colors. Too fun!

Be sure you have plenty of refreshments.
All that hooting and hollering makes a mouth dry :)
A variety to please everyone is nice and
they look so festive in these football mason jars.

Stuffed Rolls
My Mom used to make these every Christmas Eve.
They were inexpensive, easy and you could make them ahead of time.
When I was younger my Aunts, Uncles and cousins would all come over to celebrate Christmas Eve. We would make tons of these for that night.
Sitting around eating them waiting for Santa to ring the back door bell....
ok  ok enough of that, that's for another post!

(recipe circa '70's,
 typewritten recipe card)

Gather all your ingredients.
I substituted ground turkey for the hamburger
because that's what I had on hand.

Follow directions and mix well.

Add to bun

Place onto wax paper

Roll up and twist ends

Just warm in the microwave.
They fit right back into the bun bag.
You can freeze if necessary.

Anytime you want one, pop it into the microwave
and heat a couple minutes.
Handy snack for the older kids to grab.
When my oldest Son owned his Computer Shop,
he would take these for lunch in the winter,
fast and easy to heat and eat.
Warm and hearty.

Finger Foods are a must.
The norm like chips, pretzels, nuts and the like -
but how about adding some new quick and easy
crowd pleasers?
Even something a little sweet to go along with the salty snacks?

Don’t forget the bathroom.
It’s a long day and the bathroom will be busy, so make sure it’s clean and well stocked with plenty of hand soap, clean towels, room deodorizer and toilet paper. After all, you don’t want your loo to look like a locker room.
