Digging through my Treasure Stash I came across
some old Formica Swatches.
Big ones...
and little ones.
I knew there had to be something Christmasy
I could do with these wonders
They were nice and hard and would make for a great backing to.....

I gathered a bunch of supplies:
trims
papers
images
lace
beads
and any other embellishments I could think of!
And of course Mod Podge!
I coated the Formica Swatch with Mod Podge.
I placed my chosen background paper on top
and smoothed it on carefully so there were no wrinkles.
Once dry I trimmed the background paper to fit the swatch exactly.
I copied some old images I had, printed them,
then cut them out using an Exacto blade.
I used Mod Podge to adhere them to the background paper
and them embellished away!
Some received pearl strands and shiny clear gems ~
others were edged in vintage lace, pearls and trim.
I used coordinating ribbon for hanging.
On a few of the smaller ones,
I used vintage images of women in their Christmas clothing.
A couple only have coordinating trim along the bottom.
Your imagination is the only limit!
This was a fun and quick project
for a stormy afternoon without electricity!
