It was looking a little tired...or maybe I was a little tired of looking at it ;~)
Enough of the Miami Beach Peach and Teal.
Goodbye stenciling....
Hello Jade Sea and White!
What a little paint can do!
The wall basket started out a dingy pink from a Yard Sale (.50), painted white and filled with Starfish, it looks right at home.
Brought a port hole from another room in the house and inserted a photo I took of a Jellyfish at the Monterey Bay Aquarium.
Changed the Switch Plate from Shells to "Bead Board". A little decoupage goes along way.
Shells, Sea Glass and Soaps in my Grandmothers Mason Jars.
The Sandcastle from the Thrift Store (.50), the dome from a Garage Sale ($1), and the vintage aqua Fransicanware Saucer from an Estate Sale (.10) A look you love...priceless!
Some things moved on, some stayed and went white.....the Conchs from Key West...Keepers!

It has a few more tweaks but for the most part it's done!

What a fun redo!! Love the picket fence accent. Love using found objets d'art. Some think you have to spend boucoup $$ to get just the right look..all ya need is to spend a little time for the small things. They make big impacts. in a room. Good Job!!

Dear Deb, you worked very hard and did a wonderful job...you definitely should "brag" about it!!!! Love the colors you used...the only problem is that people will never leave that bathroom! Hope you have another close by!!! LOL

How long ago was your DH stationed there. I didn't get to go. PG with lst child, then scheduled to leave & decided I didn't want to go so didn't ... 3 days later he got transferred to Hawaii ... I went. Chuckle! He loves it in Alaska. He still talks about catching the salmon with bare hands at Buskin Creek up there. TTFN ~Marydon

This is the prettiest bathroom I've seen in months! The fence is so unexpected and your sand castle in a jar/on a plate is the cutest! I love when people piece together cool stuff instead of relying on a store to assemble their home :)
ReplyDeleteAnother great job Deb! :) So pretty! Thanks for linking to the Show & Tell!
