Catch Up Time

Things have been a tad bit hectic around the Cottage.
Here's a catch up post, so grab a beverage, maybe even a snack
and cozy in for a bit of a read...with lots of photos too.

First let me introduce my Granddaughter!

So precious!
Wish there were places like this for these images back
 when I had my Babies!

Yep, it's a girl!
The only surprise will be the name :)

Very photogenic don't you think? - she already poses

My first Grandbaby and I'm in love!

The proud parents

Baby Shower Time!

Everyone enjoyed sharing stories
of pregnancies and birth.

Oh yes, those fun Baby Shower games!

Wouldn't you know two single young men, A and T won the quiz game about babies with both getting 8 out of 10 right!!

C and I agree, there must have been
a conspiracy a foot! LOL

Such a wonderful and joyous time

On to the gifts!

So many lovely,

darling,

adorable,

sweet,

precious,

and useful gifts were given.

We all had an awesome celebration!

Unfortunately the beautiful day was cut short.
After returning home I received a call that my Uncle
 (my Father's brother) had passed.
We were and still are devastated from his unexpected passing.

Spring also means that my backyard is all a flutter!
There is nothing more peaceful to me than bird song.
Here are a few photos of some White Crowned Sparrows
that are always here.

Katie on watch duty -

Haven't had the time to just sit and photograph,
but I've heard songs from Scrub Jays, Mockingbirds,
and Humming Birds as they visit.
And my lovely Dove pair tending to their nest.
Love hearing their coo cooing.
So peaceful.

If I would have had the time yesterday
I would have had a perfect shot of them.
But rushing to another Doctor's appointment.

But I soon will, hopefully.

Last but not least I have to share these two

Adāmia Therapeutic Repair Lotion Review #adamia

I'm a Mom.
As a Mom it seems that the last thing we care for is ourselves.
Even as our children get older and we get older it seems it doesn't change, at least for me.

I am usually cleaning the kitchen, bathrooms, after the pets, in the garden, etc. so I am constantly washing my hands.
My hands are very dry and showing their age :/

I was happy to be chosen to review Adāmia Therapeutic Repair Lotion. I was amazed at how quickly my hands were relieved.
Because I wash my hands a lot I do apply more than once a day.
It has a pump so it is very easy to use and is very convenient.
The Lotion moisturizes really well and absorbs fast.
This is a creamy fragrance free lotion.
I also use it on my extremely dry and sometimes cracked feet.
It works better than any other lotions I've tried.

Multi Binder Reusable Plant Tie Review #reusableplanttie

The Multi Binder Plant Tie from The Outdoor Team is the most handy dandy item I have seen in a long time!

If you need directions,
they are right on the outside of the package.

I really don't like to tie or brace my plants up.
Why you ask?

Because that means I have to hunt for string, cord
or use that bright green tape that screams
"Here I am holding your plant for you!!".
Let's face it, it really detracts from your beautiful garden.

Now we gardeners put a lot of hours into our gardens and flower beds to make them look just right. The last thing I want is an unsightly "tie" that is the first thing that draws your attention

These Plant Ties are perfect!
Being a nice dark green they blend into the background,
unnoticeable.  Yay!

Made of rubber, these little plant belts are adjustable,
great when needing to tie up some top heavy blooming bulbs
to staking a sapling. They will flex with tree growth
and  withstand temperatures from -20 zero to 150 above.
And best of all they are reusable!
Plus
not only are they awesome for the garden,
but in the house as well.
I neatened up some dangly, tangly cords.

From this

to this

then added even another cord!

I have to confess, I even used one of these versatile
Plant Ties in my hair when I was outside! LOL
Had one available, needed my hair out of the way,
so I put it up in a ponytail with one!
Sorry no one was around to take a pic ;)

You can find these fab Plant Ties to
purchase here and here.
In fact they are having a huge Promotional Sale right
now at unbelievable prices!

Pick up a few packs for your veggie plants,
you know those tomatoes get heavy!

Song About Older Ladies!

SO FUNNY That It’s Going VIRAL!
I Can’t Stop Laughing!

Older Ladies by Donnalou Stevens

Well, I ain’t 16, not a beauty queen.
My eyes are baggin’ and my skin is saggin’,
And if that’s the reason that you don’t love me,
Then maybe that’s not love.

Well I ain’t 20 either and I don’t care neither.
My hair is gray and I like it that way.
And if that’s the reason that you don’t love me,
Then maybe that’s not love.

If you don’t think I rock, well we ain’t gonna roll.
If you don’t think I hung the moon, my hot just turned to cold.
If you want a younger model, I wish you well, sweet pea.
‘cause if you can’t see what it is you have,
Then you ain’t having me.

I got cellulite and achin’ feet,
And my thighs kinda jiggle when I giggle or wiggle,
And if that’s the reason that you don’t love me,
Then maybe that’s not love.

My tummy ain’t tucked or liposucked.
It’s a little poochy, but I still Hoochy Koochy,
And if that’s the reason that you don’t love me,
Then maybe that’s not love.

See, I’m no longer desperate. I’ll only have a man,
If he has the smarts to see how hot that I still am.
If you want a younger model, I wish you well, sweet pea.
If you can’t see what it is you have,
Then you ain’t having me.

Older ladies, older ladies, older ladies… are DIVINE!
Well I gotta chicken neck and I love it, by heck,
It makes a double chin whenever I grin,
And if that’s the reason that you don’t love me,
Then maybe that’s not love.

I got saggy breasts that droop from my chest,
Pert near down all the way to my nest,
And if that’s the reason that you don’t love me,
Then maybe that’s not love.

If you don’t think I rock, well we ain’t gonna roll.
If you don’t think I hung the moon, my hot just turned to cold.
If you want a younger model, I wish you well, sweet pea.
’cause if you can’t see what it is you’ve got,
You ain’t getting me.

Older ladies, older ladies, older ladies… are DIVINE!
Older ladies, older ladies, older ladies… what are we ladies? We’re DIVINE!

I Declare It PJ Day!!

I realize I'm slightly late with this post,
but that's me lately these days --- slightly to very late!

Decorations didn't even get up until 2 days before Easter!

We had a wonderful Easter spent with family.
I hope you all did too :)

We spent the day in the kitchen...

getting food...

eating...

visiting....

in deep talks....

and just plain relaxing!

Monday started early.
T had a Dr. appointment.
After we signed in and sat down,
I was called back up to the window...

Mirabel reminded me I had rescheduled it...OOPS!
Needless to say T wasn't too pleased about
getting up early for nothing :/

I was surprised when he suggested to run to
Modesto for the x-ray his Ortho Dr. needed for his foot.
We were in and out in about a half hour!
Awesome!

Once home, I grabbed C and headed to the Police Station
to fill out an ID Theft report
(long strange story that calls for a post on it's own).

This week there is free dumping at the City Yard.
We had planned to do it today,
but it was calling for rain so we decided to get'er done
while it was still dry.

4 van loads later we were finished!
Good bye old couch, broken door, old exercise equipment, humongous mirror, hot tub cover, box spring and other "stuff".

Whew, we were all tired.
M headed to the store,
I took a shower, laid on my bed to rest
and fell asleep. It was 4:30 pm!!
I slept until 6 this morning!
Yep, I was just a tad tired.

And guess what?
I woke up to beautiful rain and bird song!!

So glad we got things done yesterday,
cuz today I'm staying in my PJ'S!

Taking an off day, a me day if you will,
something I don't know if I've ever had before?

Listening to the rain and the birds.
We have Doves nesting in the garden,
love their cooing.....
Wishing you a wonderful relaxing day too :-)
