Infused Waters

We've been hovering around 105 - 107 degrees the past week or so. Yes, we each are going through our share of water, but sometimes you just want something with a little more flavor, something different.

Enter Infused Waters!

Benefits:
Hydrating, Refreshing, Detoxifying

Here's an easy recipe I use often

Infused Water

Fruit - 2 cups, your choice, cut up (berries, citrus, melons, pineapple...most fruits will work)
Herbs - a sprig of Mint, Rosemary, Thyme, Lavender, Basil, Sage, your choice
Water
Ice
Muddler or Wooden Spoon

Directions

1)  If using herbs, add a fresh sprig to jar. Press and twist with wooden spoon to bruise leaves enough to release flavor. Do not smash herbs to bits.
2)  Add approx. 2 cups of fruit onto jar. Press and muddle just enough for the fruit to start to release some of their juices.

Strawberry Lime

3.  Fill jar with ice cubes.
4.  Add water to top of jar.
5.  Cover and let sit for at least 30 minutes before drinking.
6.  Refrigerate for up to 3 days.

Pour into pitcher, if desired.

Strawberry Kiwi

Strawberry Blueberry

There are many different flavor combinations you can make.
Here are some we've tried and liked.

Pineapple and Strawberry

Cucumber, Lemon and Mint

Watermelon

Nectarine

Orange Mint

Our fave's are any kind of berries and WATERMELON!
Tastes like Summer :)
 Confession, I don't know what other's do,
but I eat whatever fruit/veggies that land in my glass ♥

Here's to everyone trying to keep cool!

  2. These sound so delicious! I love the idea of nectarine. Normally, I just have fruit-infused water kefir, but this could be even easier!
