Renuzit Sensitive Scents Review and Giveaway ~ #SensitiveScents

Renuzit has come out with a new line of Sensitive Scents
with soft delicate aromas to freshen your home without overpowering those with sensitive noses.
This is especially interesting to me because I have
2 children who have Vasomotor Rhinitis.
They are sensitive to strong/certain scents,
one more so than the other.
Headaches are almost immediate
then sinuses start to ache.
So I need to be careful with any fragrant products I use.
And wouldn't you know I LOVE fragrance!

I very anxious to try out each form:

Adjustable Scent Cone
Universal Scented Oil
Deodorizing Trigger Spray

A variety of fragrances are available:

Pure Water Blossom and Cucumber
Pure Ocean Breeze
Pure White Pear and Lavender

I received the Pure Water Blossom and Cucumber
Adjustable Scent Cone and placed it in the bathroom.
It has a fresh clean Summery floral scent and
will last for up to 4 weeks.

Next I opened and put together the Universal Scented Oil.
I placed in in the outlet in our entryway, so as someone enters our home they get a whiff of the delightful Pure Ocean Breeze scent.
I think this scent is my favorite.
A fresh clean breezy scent.
A side note:
Renuzit's Plug-in Refills universally fit any
Glade or Air Wick oil warming unit.

The Deodorizing Trigger Spray I used in the kitchen after cooking to remove any lingering odors. It came in the Pure White Pear and Lavender scent and was amazing. Neutralized the food smells and left it smelling wonderful. I do need to remember this is a trigger spray and not an aerosol, a little goes a long way, which I love!
I also used the Trigger Spray in the living room, with 3 dogs it can always use a bit of freshening up.

I have to say my home smells really good right now!
There's a different scent in several areas and as you walk through they are not only delicate enough to blend and enhance each other they knocked out any unpleasant smells that were lingering.

The main thing is my children were NOT bothered by the scents! They liked the scents because they were not only light but they smelled good.

Have you tried any of these yet?

Paint'em Pretty ~ Valentine's

There was a major time crunch this past week or so.
Being released by one Doctor for one son,
only to have 2 new specialists enter for other.
Now waiting approval for 2 surgery dates.
Last Friday capped it off with 5 appointments in one day.
Intersperse watching my sunshine when
her parents were in a pinch,
much more fun than stressful ;)

But I digress ~
with Valentine's approaching my nails had
been bare and I got the evil eye from my counselor.

What can I say,
there's only so many hours in the day!
I assured her I would make time for myself,
she assured me going to my appointment didn't count.

So I was thinking of a quickie Valentine inspired mani to throw on my nails. No not a real Valentine's girl, more anti-Valentine's, but was trying to get into the spirit of things, when I remembered something I saw on Pinterest.
you can see their original article by clicking on their link ^
She has lots of fun ideas!

I applied a couple coats of
Finger Paints ~ Brushstroke Blush,
alas I think it may be the end of my bottle.

When my polish was thoroughly dry,
I drew on a little gold heart with a Gold Sharpie!
Easy peasy!
And if you make a mistake,
you can gently wipe it off with rubbing alcohol.
Once done, let thoroughly dry.

Topped off with 1 coat Sally Hansen's Megashine,
I was done!

The reason I was having difficulty finding Sally Hansen's Megashine is because they had repackaged it.
Frustrating, you know what your looking for but can't find it,
bugs me in the grocery store too!!

OK time to get out there and get your
Valentine Nails done if you haven't already!

I'm of to get lab work done

Great idea, your family could even plant you
in their yard if they wanted to.

Reflect Shower Mirror by Mirror On A Rope Review ~ #MirrorOnARope.

Today we have Reflect Shower Mirror
by Mirror On A Rope

Now this is an item I probably would never have thought about
unless the good people at Mirror on a Rope hadn't contacted me.

This is the newest addition to the line of Mirror on a Rope line of fog free shower mirrors. When entering shower you need to run the mirror under warm water to allow the mirror to warm up, which keeps it from fogging up. How easy is that!

Speaking of easy ~ if it needs cleaning,
wipe with a soft cotton towel and mild soap.
Engraved with Mirror On A Rope's logo

and measures 6" by 4 3/4",
so it doesn't take up too much space.

Nearly unbreakable acrylic that resists scratching.

The Mirror comes with a wall mountable hook easy remove hook and an adjustable mildew resistant 550 paracord rope.

So you have two adjustable options for hanging.

The cord is super long so you will probably want to hang it high,
or maybe tie a knot in it to shorten it up.

I've decided this is a pretty cool item!
My boys like it because now they can shave in the shower.
No fogging or shadowing!
Win for them and a def win for me :)

Reflect Shower Mirror by Mirror On A Rope
is available on Amazon.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free or a discounted  price from Mirror On A Rope.  Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers

Cauliflower Pizza Crust?

Let's face it, it is expensive to eat healthy.
A few years ago pasta was our main source of food,
yeh, good old college cuisine - Top Ramen.
But when it starts to affect your health,
something has to be done.
The kids and my lab work came back very poor.
Low protein, Vit. D, Vit. C, Iron.
Prescriptions were handed out for mega doses of supplements.
I didn't even know there were prescriptions for supplements!
Here we are close to a year later,
with improved labs - that still need more improving.
Still having health issues,

BUT

we're all trying to get healthier.

I squeeze pennies until they squeal
and am as frugal as they come.
Make what I can, catch sales,
buy "reduced to sell meat", grow veggies,
whatever it takes to try to keep my kids healthy.
Of course, we still like fast food, buy it rarely anymore.
When I saw this recipe for Pizza on Pinterest I had to try it.
It seems Cauliflower can be used for just about
anything these days, but pizza dough? Come on ~
Here we go, photos included
 (yes be amazed! I remembered)
Cauliflower Pizza Crust Recipe

Ingredients:

1 cup riced, then cooked cauliflower
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 egg, beaten
1 tsp Italian seasonings
1/2 tsp crushed garlic
1/2 tsp salt
pizza sauce and toppings of your choice

Directions:

1. To rice the cauliflower, cut florets into chunks and pulse in a food processor until you see rice like bits. You could also use a cheese grater to produce the tiny pieces. Don't over process, you don't want mush.

2. Microwave the riced cauliflower in a bowl for 5-8 minutes, depending on your microwave. No need to add water. After microwaving, transfer riced cauliflower to a fine mesh strainer and drain completely, gently pressing out excess water.

Once drained, transfer riced cauliflower to a clean dish towel, wrap the sides around the cauliflower while gently pressing out excess water. This drying process is important!

3. One large head of cauliflower will yield about 3 cups of riced cauliflower. Use it to make more pizzas immediately, or store in the refrigerator for 2-3 days.

4. Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Spray a cookie sheet with non-stick cooking spray.
In a medium bowl, combine 1 cup riced, cooked cauliflower, 1 egg and your Parmesan cheese. Next, add Italian seasonings, crushed garlic and salt.

Making sure everything is well mixed, place your "dough" on the cookie sheet and pat out a 9" round. Be sure not to press it too thin as it's easy to create holes.

5. Bake your dough at 450 degrees for 15 minutes.
6. Remove from oven. Add sauce, mozzarella cheese, and your favorite pre-cooked toppings to your pizza. Place pizza under broiler just until cheese is melted, be sure to keep an eye on it!

Cheese pizza is the agreed pizza around here and this one tasted pretty darn good. The crust looked and felt like crust. Consensus was next time don't add as much Parmesan, it was too strong for some. Maybe knock it back to 1/4 cup instead of 1/2 cup.
Other than that, it was gone in minutes!
Side note: I must have had a small head of cauliflower (looked average to me) I only got 1 cup not 3 cups out of mine.
But it was enough to try the recipe and know it was a keeper.
A great way to lower calories and get veggies down those who don't care for them.
Win, win!
