I'm in the Gawgun!

When I was little I spent a lot of time outside...we lived on a farm after all.

Between the animals and my Mother's gorgeous gardens why would I want to be in the house?!

Mom would check on me, it went something like this....

 Mom would call out:

"Debbie, where are you?"

My response:

"I'm in the gawgun!"

(hey I was little, I didn't pronounce things quite right yet ;) )

Even from a young age I was destined to be in the garden ☺

There is so much going on in the garden at this time of year.

My sweet Peas are in full bloom and

scenting the air with their sweet aroma!

Nectarines are growing

Ivy Geranium with it's pretty pink blooms

Speaking of scents, Honeysuckle is one of my faves!

I got the Strawberry Pot planted with succulents I purchased at plant sale.

Strawberry Pots are known for their difficulty to get water to all 

"areas/cups" of the pot.

I remember Dad inserting a PVC pipe he had drilled holes into

 down the center. We then would fill the PVC pipe with water.

What I did with this one was to fill the bottom with packing peanuts

and mix some into the soil too.

Hoping this will get the water absorbed easier and to keep the soil from compacting and resisting the water.

We'll see how it works.

My Hydrangea is blooming!

This vintage cherub was from "the boxes"

It's broken beyond repair but I thought the plants

would help hide all the boo boos.

The Honeysuckle's are getting to the windows...

slow but sure.

This white Lilac has the tiniest white flowers

You can barely see the cupid/angel I hung inside the gazebo,

the plants are gobbling it up!

It's peeking through the top right of the Hydrangea.

What a view! LOL

We have baby Apples

and baby Thompson Seedless Grapes

I love pink Geraniums.

My youngest gave me this one years ago when it was in a 4 inch pot.
