Just a Little Company in the Garden ~ WW

A pair of Eurasian Doves that live and nest in my backyard.
Keeping me company while I garden.
Love waking up to their peaceful melody.

I'm glad they feel safe and comfortable enough with me to
relax and preen.  They had more babies this Spring :)
That makes it 5 years with babies hatched here.

  1. So plump! I've never seen them - I suppose they don't live in our area. We have mourning doves a-plenty though!

    1. Love Doves, all birds actually. But these have become "buddies". I was out working in the garden and didn't even notice one was following along side me as I moved! ♥

  4. We have the Eurasian collared doves here too. They are so quiet and gentle that one would barely realize their presence :)

It's such a good feeling to know that birds are comfortable in your presence. They feel safe!

  6. They are beautiful. I live close to the Fox River in Illinois. We have eagles that fly above and sometimes they perch right on top of the steeple at our church. I have a picture somewhere I should find that and post it. Also, we have ducks... oh my gosh we have ducks, swans and geese... because the river I'm sure. Have a great day my friend! hugs

    1. That's what I miss most from Kodiak Alaska. All the Eagle and other birds and wildlife - not the bears tho! So many Eagles! They would nest in our trees, man is their wing span huge! What a sight to see - them soaring ♥♥ Enjoy yours!
