Ewww, no not like that!!
On the back roads to Turlock,
in a certain bend in the road
there seems to be a new resident.
He's been there each time I go by for the past week.
See he's right there across the road.
A Pheasant!
The first I've ever seen.
He is SO PRETTY!
He doesn't seem to afraid of people.
Good thing he is in a protected area....
Protected from guns...but not cars.
Sure hope he's careful when he crosses the road
into Hatfield State Park.
On this same day a Coyote crossed the road right in front of me!
I tried to get a photo,
but he was haulling a$$!
I love nature and
get so excited when I see the locals ;)
I grew up in Western Kansas and in the day there were loads of these beauties. I occasionally here one when I am walking down in the creek near us and I did actually see one the other day but they are rare.
