Fertilizer Friday! 3/12/10


It's Fertilizer Friday over at Tootsie Time
be sure to see everyone's buds and blooms!

Last weekend was "Weeding Weekend" at the farm.
The drive along Hwy 5 and 580 was so pretty.

Fruit Trees




almonds




even the Mustard was pretty!


Sheep had been turned out and
were so happy for the fresh greens!


the hills were so beautiful




cows had been turned out too


ah, and the Windmills along the Altamont
were spinning their hearts out






gorgeous hills


and here we are comming
into the Livermore Valley


After a day of weeding we did the return trip,
and played couch potato the next day!

  1. You didn't stop at my house? Now that the snow is melting you can see all the dead weeds that didn't get pulled before winter. Yuck. I am hoping that maybe this weekend will be nice to start some cleanup. Love all the pics! Beautiful!

    okay....spring fever??? do I have spring fever??? you bet your green grass I do!!! hahaha
    I can't wait for the garden to be planted...the winter jacekts, boots mittens etc to be packed away...and the garden chairs to be set for me to just take a few moments to admire the blooms and buds in my garden!!! I check every day to see if there are any trees budding out!!! It is a beautiful morning when you wake up and can see a pretty green on the trees!
    I wish I could go driving with you...those views are just so pretty!!! weeds and all lol

  3. Wow everything is looking so green and the animals look like they are LOVIN it. Won't be long now before Spring peaks its head out here in northern NE.Thanks for sharing.

  4. Hey girl,nice to be able to get outside & not freeze your butt off! Nice to see green instead of dirty white! Don't think i'm gonna get much done this weeknd either, now its going to be rain by the inches...,things are trying to pop thru all the mulch, need to get out there...... I don't know how you get those great pictures, if that were me it would be one big blur!lol Have a great weekend!

  5. Just look at how green that grass looks. Grass always looks so pretty in the spring. The green is so brilliant.
    So many blooms on those fruit tress. Beautiful.

  6. We are getting closer to the spring like weather. I can't wait for my magnolia tree to bloom. I am hoping that I have some pretty pictures, but you never know. I have been seeing the robins the last few mornings even in the rain. Thanks for sharing your trip with us. I truly enjoyed it. Take care Your Missouri Friend

  10. I had to look to see where you live because it reminds me of where my in-laws live. They are in Manteca, so seeing flowering almonds and the windmills reminds me of being there or driving into the bay area from their house. I just love the sight of the flowering almonds!
