What to do in Case of a Break In

Imagine this scenario ~

You're pulling in the driveway, finally home.
The day's over, you can finally relax.
Walking up the walkway you notice
your door doesn't look right.
As you get closer you realize it's been broken into!

You stop in your tracks, frozen -
Your heart skips a beat -
do you go in?
will the perpetrators still be there?
do you run?
scream?
are you mad or scared?

So many different emotions sweep over you,
you really aren't sure exactly what to do.
Thank goodness for SimpliSafe, a home security company,
that is committed to helping people live safely.

They have created an infographic outlining
very important information needed
if you should find yourself in this situation.

You might even make a note in your phone,
to help you remember during this emotional occurrence,
which I hope you never experience.

Paint'em Pretty ~ Magnetic Nail Color

My youngest son bought this
Sally Hansen Magnetic Nail Color in Polar Purple
for me a while back. I love using it!
It's so cool to see the designs pop up.
You paint your first coat on all 10 nails and let dry.
Then do one nail at a time with the second coat and while still wet hold the removable magnet top over the nail for 10 seconds.
Voila!

I added a slanted stripe of Art Deco Nail Art Lacquer
by L.A. Colors in silver glitter.
Just not ready to give up the glitter from the Holidays yet.
;)
Then my usual -
 topped with 1 coat of
my fav top coat Sally Hansen's Megashine.

Have you tried magnetic nail polish yet?
If so, do you like it?
I'd love to hear your thoughts ♥

L'Oreal Revitalift Volume Filler Skin Care Review ~ Influenster VoxBox

I was recently chosen to receive an Influenster VoxBox, my very first one! I was so excited to be chosen for this review.

In case you haven't heard of Influenster, it's a free service you sign up for. You are sent surveys to complete to determine your eligibility for free product boxes to try out and review. If you're interested in signing up you can click here.

I am so impressed with this box containing full size containers of the L'Oreal Revitalift Volume Filler Skin Care line which  targets wrinkles, fine lines, dark circles, and other skin aging issues.

Four products were sent, all containing Hyaluronic Acid.
A naturally occurring substance in your skin, Hyaluronic Acid keeps skin full of moisture that’s lost as you age. Volume Filler is formulated with our highest level of HA to provide intense moisture and restore fullness.

~ Overview ~

L'Oreal Revitalift Eye Treatment
and
L'Oreal Revitalift Daily Re-volumizing Concentrated Serum

L'Oreal Revitalift Eye Treatment

Every morning and evening, smooth a small amount around the eye area patting gently until thoroughly absorbed.

- Ophthalmologist Tested
- Dermatologist tested for safety.
- Safe for contact lens wearers.
- Non-Greasy

Claims:
In 1 week: Skin is more hydrated. Skin around the eyes is firmer.
In 4 weeks: Under-eye hollows are visibly re-volumized, reducing the appearance of sunken shadows. Eye contours look more luminous and feel smoother with reduced puffiness and bags.

Eye bags aren't a real problem for me, hopefully this will help keep them that way. Absorbs quickly leaving no sticky feeling.

L'Oreal Revitalift Daily Re-volumizing Concentrated Serum

Claims:
This is a facial serum that replenishes the skin's fullness. It says that within hours of using this, skin hydration significantly improves. Within 4 weeks, your skin should be smoother, more even, fuller cheekbones, under-eye area is less hollowed and fine lines & wrinkles are reduced.

I have to say I love the pump dispenser! So innovative, it dispenses just the right amount needed. Smooths on silky and absorbs  pleasantly.

L'Oreal Revitalift Daily Re-volumizing Moisturizer
and
L'Oreal Revitalift Night Cream

L'Oreal Revitalift Daily Re-volumizing Moisturizer

- Dermatologist tested for safety.

Claims:
Within hours: Skin cushion is significantly improved & is more hydrated
Within 1 week: Skin is replumped, and feels firmer
Within 4 weeks, Skin fullness is visibly replenished, forehead wrinkles, nasolabial folds (area between your nose and upper lip) are significantly reduced, and crow's feet wrinkles are diffused.

Upon opening I saw thick heavy cream. I got a small dab on my finger and applied. It thinned out, was easy to apply and absorbed into my skin. It is a little heavier than the serums naturally, but my skin felt so soft afterward.

L'Oreal Revitalift Night Cream

Revivalist Volume Filler Night Cream is an overnight, anti-aging face cream that works to replenish the skin. Moisturizing formula with Hyaluronic Acid and Galangal boosts skin volume while you sleep.

Claims:
Next morning: Skin is smoother and more hydrated.
Feels fresher, softer and more supple.
In 4 weeks: Skin fullness is visibly replumped, firmer, steep lines and pillow traces appear smoother, and skin cushion is improved.

I smoothed a small amount over my face and neck and it was absorbed quickly. There is no sticky feeling or residue. After application, my skin felt soft and dewy.

I have not had any adverse reactions from this line. All the products have a light fresh fragrance that dissipates soon after application.

I have only been using this for a few days, so I haven't realized the full benefits or claims that the product line makes. It does say 4 weeks for most improvement.  I plan to continue to use these products and will update with before and after photos.

Have you tried any of these products? I'd love to hear your thoughts.

I received the L'OrĂ©al products complimentary from Influenster for the purpose of reviewing and providing my unbiased opinion.  I did not receive monetary compensation.

#CraftyPaws Dryer Sheets Box Mission #sweepsentry

I was chosen from the Snuggle Den to get fun and crafty using the Snuggle Dryers Sheets box to make a decoration or craft in the Crafty Paws mission.

By now you know me, I'm pretty frugal so when it came to creating something that you would normally toss, I was game!

The dryer sheets were just a fab bonus! I love the fragrance of Snuggle because the scent lasts a long time, so it was a win win situation for me :)

I have wanted to try making "puffed stars" for quite some time now. It's probably very simple for some people but for some reason was intimidating for me. I decided it was time to try it.

I opened the carefully along all the "seams" for a flat piece of cardboard.

I went online and found a template, resized it (that proved a feat, in and of itself!), not sure why I made 2 but I did. I guess in case I messed one up. Traced them, then cut them out.

Scored where I wanted them to "puff" or be dimensional and folded them on the scores.   I used hot glue to stick them together.  I decided to paint them gold then top off with glitter, of course ;)

You could add a hook for a Christmas decoration, make more for a garland (cute for a little girl's Princess Party), a mobile, my mind is spinning with ideas!  For now Snuggles is going to enjoy them, after all he really should have his own Gold Star!

Making the puffy stars turned out easier than I thought. I'm sure there will be more twinkling in my future!

Next time you get ready to toss something, see if you can think of what you could make with it. You just may be surprised ;)

I received Snuggle Dryers Sheets for free from the Bear Den.

How Do You Get Permanent Marker Out Of Linen?

We have a local Church that has the
 bestest rummage sale every year.
I get so excited when I see it announced in the paper
.( That may be the only reason I subscribe!)
They have such a variety of items that people donate and at such reasonable prices. I was going to say I love to go through the linens, but I really like going through the dishes too. Oh and the household things, some you can't even figure out what they are (half the fun). They have plants too that the parishioners start from plants in their gardens. I love that, some of the old time plants aren't in nurseries and this is a fantastic way to get them. Oy, I could go on and on.... this year I happened to find a pale pink Damask Tablecloth. The ladies who work the sale always look for spot/stains put masking tape around the folded item and write any imperfections and the size of the item.  Well, someone, probably the donor, wrote the size in marker on the corner of the tablecloth.   The price was most reasonable and I figured there must be some way to remove it.
I searched an searched the web, and of course, Pinterest.
Got lots of ideas. Wrote them all down, starting with the most delicate working to the strongest.

Milk ~

 I rubbed gently after soaking
not much difference

 Hand Sanitizer ~

 Applied and let soak

 blotted several times
removed most, but some still remained

 Rubbing Alcohol ~
blotted, removed a tad more

Hairspray ~
Sprayed heavily, let sit then blotted
removed a bit more, but was still left with faded
marks.

At that point I threw it in the washer with Oxyclean
and left it soak there for 2 days....I didn't want to deal
with it any more! LOL

After washing this is what it looked like

Not too shabby, eh?

Not sure which one broke it down or
if they all helped or
if I just should have soaked it in Oxy or
if I should have just left it at the sale!
LOL

Then after all that this pops up, where I can't remember.

Yeh, right!!!!
