Better to be safe than sorry
This year July has 5 Fridays 5 Saturdays and 5 Sundays. This apparently happens once every 823 years.
This is called money bags. So send this on and money will arrive in 5 days.
Based on Chinese feng shui the one who does not pass this on will have money troubles for the rest of the year...
Don't want it to be me!!!!!
What to do with Some of Your Old Windows
I'm joining these parties this week:
A Picture is Worth a 1,000 Words
Cottage Instincts
Between Naps on the Porch
Coloradolady
Funky Junk Interiors
A La Carte
Coastal Charm
Tootsie Time
Not that you gals can't create magnificent treasures with the old windows on your own ...
You've seen me do this:
but I've had this idea since last Summer and have been dieing to get 'er done!
These were the kind of windows I grew up with so when I spotted them in a Thrift Store 5-6 years ago I grabbed them...I know, I know, but the were covered with other Treasures!
OK this is what I did.
I used mending plates to attach them side by side.
Front
Back
Get lots of chain
(because you forgot to measure)
Add eye bolts to all four corner of frame
(sorry no pics, got to excited!)
Then I hung them in one of the entryways of the gazebo.
(I only want one way in and out so this just helps remind people of that)
In my minds eye I see these covered with the honeysuckle with just the windows to see through.
Using more technical items to hang them with...
Zip ties ;)
BTW, My Great Uncle made the chaise lounge you see. It has rope woven throughout the bottom (which I've replaced a few times) to hold the lounge pad.
This is "The Entryway" to the Gazebo
(pic from last year)
Now just one more "entrance" to block...hmmmmm
The Valley is Alive.....
with the sight of blooms!
(Hwy 33 between Crows Landing and Patterson)
and the sounds of Bees!
(the white boxes are Bee boxes)
Beautiful Apricot Trees
as far as the eye can see
New trees just planted
New railroad ties have been put in place leaving these old ones up for grabs.
Some are still in pretty good shape.
Great for landscaping.
No, that's not a canal but a huge puddle.
We've had our share of rain,
but we really need it so can't complain.
Some horses enjoying the Spring Sun.
Just happened to see a plane comming in as we return to town.
It's turning around to land.
Sorry missed him landing....
I had to watch the cars...
yes I was driving ;)

Fertilzer Friday!
Here we are again,
it's Fertilizer Friday over at Tootsie Time
Be sure to pop over to see how every ones gardens are doing!
The sun was out the other day while shopping at Walmart and I soon found myself out in the garden area...just checking things out.....
But before I knew it I had some veggie plants jump in my cart!
Tomatoes : Early Girl, Big Boy (seems I always get these because my Dad always swore by them) and Sweet 100 (Cherry Toms)
Broccoli, Zucchini, and a Boysenberry.
I huge have to have a large berry against the back fence. It was from my Mom's plant (her fav berry). I had it for years and it produced like crazy. Then one year it died, no idea why. This will be like the 4th one I've tried in the same area, the others have failed. I am determined to get one to take there!
As I went for a walk in my backyard I found that my Swiss Chard is going great guns! Will be glad when there's enough to actually cook for all of us...it cooks down so much it takes quite a bit for a decent amount.
My Forget-Me-Nots are just about to explode.
They reseed themselves all over.
and are welcomed wherever they pop up.
The purply-brown Callas are in bloom too.
More Daffodils are smiling in the sun,
as are the Cranebills.

Sleeping Is an Art Form.... and an update on Melissa
Wishing you a wonderful afternoon cat nap ♥
Which I will be doing a lot of this afternoon.
Melissa started having Back and side pain during the day and continually got worse where it dropped her to her knees. Called our Dr..no appts for the rest of the day or today. Thought it maybe a UTI so they called in an antibiotic, but pharmacy closed before it could get filled. So off to ER. They gave her Vicodin and something for nausea. Vicodin didn't touch it. While waiting she was having a hard time catching her breath due to the intensity of the pain, which dropped her again. All the labs came back OK He says it's her lower back, she must have done something to pull it. Gave her scripts for 2 pain meds, that God for Walgreen's and their 24 hr pharmacy! We got home about 3am from ER. Anyway, She took both pain meds and shes still sleeping. Dr said bed rest for 2 days. He gave her a tramadol shot last night which finally helped.
