One Crazy Bird
Remember the mischief Tilly was getting into the other day?
Well, she didn't stop.
Back on the toters she jumped....
We were both getting frustrated by this time...
She maybe so, more than I...
she copped a little 'tude
and started her bad a$$ dance...
oh yeh, she's a bad one alright....
She kept looking back inside the toter
I thought she just wanted inside to play with the glass vases...
they do make a lovely clink clink with pecked, on after all ;)
After her evil eye I figured I better get her back in her cage.
I happened to look down and saw what she was eyeing.
An empty box.
So I placed it on top of her cage....
After a bit she had shredded most of it...
maybe she was just in a nesting mood.......
or thinking about me as she tore it apart!

Suggestions Please
OK, as some of you know,
I have been working on changing up my bedroom
(for obvious reasons).
I'm making it into a crafting space bedroom combo.
Little by little it has been morphing.
I'm currently stuck on the main window.
It has brown blinds that will stay put,
(should I ever need the window completely covered)
but in the pulled up position.
This window faces the backyard
and will be the area where I will be crafting.
Here's the way it originally looked
A few things have moved/changed.....
I found this old screen door in the barn and fell in love with it.
I knew this is where I had always wanted to put it.
Unfortunately there is a large crack in this side of the window.
It's a double pain so replacement can wait,
but in the meantime I'd like it and those memories covered.
I have moved a long table under the window for my work table.
I didn't particularly like it alone.
I have already decided what to do with the right side
so that's not an issue.
I've tried it with tall shutters....
and short shutters.
Didn't particularly care for the shutters :(
So then I thought of lace.
I grabbed an ecru panel and threw it over the back of the door.
I like it.
I plan to trim it to fit then tack it to the back of the screen door.
My boggle is whether to leave the screen on or take it off.
I like the look of the rusty, holey screen with the lace in the background,
but can imagine how good it would look removed too.
So HELP!
Let me know what you think.
It's been this way for a couple of weeks and I need to decide!
And yes, that ivy is going!
Hoping to paint over it soon!
at least after the Holidays ;)
Thanks ♥

It's a Frugal Time
This year has been all about frugality.
As you know I'm making most of my Christmas gifts,
when possible.
My Sister's Birthday came along.
I finally got to make this idea I have had for quite some time now
This was the inspiration photo for my idea.
I don't even remember where I saw/found this.
You see she has a thing for pulleys.
I had hoped to find a great wooden pulley,
as in the inspiration photo,
but no such luck.
I ended up buying a new one,
which I had intended to "rust" in a rusting solution.
I put it out side until I got around to "rusting" it.
Jump forward 3 yrs....
(it never made it into the rusting solution)
nature did it for me.
So here is the nice rusty pulley with rope and wee "buckets''.
Again I didn't have any "buckets" like in the photo,
so I used peat pots left over from Easter.
They seemed kind of flimsy
so I gave them a couple of coats of Mod Podge (homemade version).
Then with another coat and dredged them in my spice mix...
to give them a rusty/aged look.
I then filled the "buckets" with Sweet Annie sprigs (yes, from my garden),
old stained clothespins, moss rocks and some Cinnamon sticks.
Brass wire was attached for the handles.
I also tucked in a tiny horse
She has a fondness for them too ;)
Between the Sweet Annie and the Cinnamon Sticks,
it smelled heavenly
This is a small Hostess Gift I put together for
her and her husband for Thanksgiving.
Homemade Jams, a votive, and Thanksgiving Tea Towel
along with a handmade hang tag.
All inside a pretty basket that when started was a navy with white drips!
Thank goodness for some Hammered Copper Spray Paint I found in my Treasure Pile!
I'm hoping she liked her Birthday gift and
that she has had time to open it by now
so that is was safe to show here! LOL
Love ya Sis
To Infinity and beyond!
