Fertilizer Friday! 2/26/10

WHOA! Another week has flown by!
It's Fertilizer Friday over at Tootsie Time.

A couple weeks ago I showed you my Cherry Plum tree,
it had big buds on it.
Last week~

This week ~

One of my favorite little flowers ~ Violets

Love the fragrance of Hyacinths

and of course, little Grape Hyacinths (muscari)

Now be sure to pop over to Tootsie Time
 to see everyone's flowers.

Impress The Neighbors!

I received this and just had to share.

Eventually someone thinks of something new!

Impress your neighbors with Amazing Garage Door Covers!"
A German firm called "Style Your Garage" -
creates posters for garage doors
that make it look as if it's actually showing
the interior of your garage, and what's in it!
Prices range from $199 to $399 for the double-door!
All but guaranteed to make passersby take a second look!

And finally

A great idea to freak out the neighbors!

Spring Fever!

Spring fever definition ~

1. Restlessness, 2. Urgency to plant every inch of the yard,
3. A rash of illogical behaviour epitomized by trying to balance
3 flats of annuals in 2 hands and fit a 15 gallon tree in a
Volkswagon trunk.

I seem to resemble this lately, except for the Volkswagon.
Spring Fever has taken hold!
I have an itch for planting and have bought plants, bulbs and seeds.
It was a sun shinning warm Spring day when I purchased these.
The next and every day since....rain.
Mother Nature has fun toying with us during this time of year.

But I will be ready with gloves and trowel in hand
the next time the sun peeks out!

Until then, here is a little Spring to help get us all by.
Just click and "plant".

Click your mouse anywhere (& everywhere) on the page & see what happens!

Better yet, click (hold down) & drag your mouse over the black page

Enjoy!

Mosaic Monday & Vintage ABC's

It's Monday and brand new week!
I'm playing along with
Mary for Mosaic Monday from Little Red House and
Melody for Vintage ABC's from Etsy Cottage Style.
I went blank as far as the mosaic went so,
I ended up combining the two.

This month is "B" so I chose my hubby's Baby Bib
It's seen alot of action but still hangs in there.
A little faded and frayed around the edges,
but the embroidery thread is holding it's color nicely.
It was handmade by one of his relatives when he was born.

We're at The End, Let's Hit the Bar!

We have reached the end
of our visit to The Merced Ag Museum,
The Bar!

Remember these?

A few familiar faces ;)

Lots of old signs...

and everything else!
The "tin roof" boasts a variety of hats,
and there's Charlie, behind the bar!

A charcoal drawing of Frank Sinatra..

Charlie tells us about the old gas pump

Just about every inch is covered with something special
that evokes memories.

Tables to sit at too!

Another Paul Bunyan coffee pot..
not sure if guns are a good thing to have in a bar?
LOL

They have get togethers here,
different groups meet also.

ohh, look at that lamp!

Love the lines!

no comment....

Photo of Charlie and family.

Cool Westinghouse Refrigerator!

What a display of vintage Buttons.

And that my friends, concludes the

It was such a fun experience,
we saw more than we ever imagined.
I know this have been a long tour,
but all my photos just touch the tip of the iceberg
of what there is to see.

I think more than one visit is needed
to actually "see" everything.

This is definately worth checking out
if ever in the area.
Thanks for comming along! ☺

Onward Through The Museum!

Yes, there's more!
Do you think I'll ever finish the tour
I will, I promise

Lots of old Motorcycles and Bicycles ~
and other interesting things ~
Love that stove!

Some old cookware to go on the old stove..

Back in the day, it you needed a tool
and didn't have it, you made it.
Look at all these!
Cast iron pans too.

I don't know what it is about old stoves
that I'm drawn to,
made all their ornateness
(yes, that is a word!) LOL

Look at the design on this one ~

Cool!

The Proprietor also built this little Church.
He's had one couple get married in it so far.

An eco-friendly Drum Set.

Trunks were everywhere

Bunnies too!

Some of Charlie's (Proprietor) Family History

Charlie has also built an outhouse for our convience.
Here's the outside walls
Love the desk side hanging there~

The other side
Oops, there's my friend, Dawn's, Aunt Carole
Hi Aunt Carole!!

Love this picture of the surrounding brick floor

Ready to go inside?

Not like any outhouse I've ever been in before!
Gorgeous!

Charlie takes credit for the structure
but gives his wife all the credit for the inside ☺

The next installment will be the Bar Room
